Team Around You is a UK-based social care directory platform (teamaroundyou.org) connecting vulnerable populations with essential support services — housing support, food banks, substance misuse services, childcare, and more. The platform hosts 61,000+ service listings and serves social workers, care professionals, and individuals seeking support. TAY came to Parcero with a legacy PHP/MySQL platform suffering from UX friction, registration confusion, bugs, and poor mobile experience.

Challenge

- Confusing registration process creating friction for both service providers and service seekers.

- Bugs and glitches undermining user trust in a platform serving vulnerable populations.

- Complex navigation making it difficult to find relevant services quickly.

- Legacy PHP/MySQL stack limiting scalability and increasing maintenance costs.

- Goal: Transform TAY into an Airbnb/Yoopies-style intuitive directory experience while preparing for future commercialization.

Solution

- Migrated the entire platform from PHP/MySQL to a modern stack: Lovable (rapid development) + Supabase (PostgreSQL) + Resend (transactional email and broadcasts).

- Redesigned the complete UX including registration flows, service search and matching, profile management, and workspace features.

- Built automated notification systems, email flows, and admin workflows (bulk CSV imports, duplicate detection, edit requests, dormant profile management).

- Implemented data migration of 61,000+ service listings with full validation.

- Delivered across 6 milestones over 12 weeks: Discovery & Strategy → UX/UI Design → Core Build → Service Provider Features → Service Seeker Features → Launch & Optimization.
